Supporting Your Success

FSAP 2025 June 13 through July 19

The First Year Summer Academic Program (FSAP) is a 5-week educational experience designed to provide a bridge from pre-college preparation to the WashU experience by assisting with academic readiness, social belonging, and other critical skills that support student success.

There are many pathways to every academic major and future career. FSAP allows for exploration across different interest areas via academic pathways—interconnected, balanced, and varied course offerings that support students’ interests and facilitate academic exploration.

Earn Credit

For Summer 2025, the academic pathways are:

  • Pre-Health and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Integrations (P-STEM) – provides students exposure to foundational content as well as connected coursework to enhance problem-solving and critical thinking for those interested in pre-health, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and similar content areas.
  • Humanities, Arts, and Social Perspectives (HAS) – provides students opportunities to explore the human experience, society, culture, and creativity, concepts applicable to many academic disciplines and focus areas.
  • Discovery Pathway – provides students opportunities to explore interests and strengths through courses that ignite curiosity and develop skills relevant to any academic major and career.

*Note: The FSAP Academic Pathways are different from your academic major/college designation, but they may align with a future academic or career interest you want to explore further at WashU.
